Coniston and District Community
Welcome to the Community of Coniston, Cumbria, English Lakes.

Representing Coniston businesses, accommodation providers for your holiday needs, plus links to community clubs and societies.

Furness Fell

Information for local residents of Coniston and district  -  and for our visitors.

In 1997 Coniston was the first village to be given the title "Village of the Year". Naturally we are proud of such an accolade but we cannot rest on our laurels.  Every group, club, organisation, business and individual has played a part in creating this indefinable thing called "community".  Our website is just one  means by which we hope to maintain and improve the links that bind us together; and we are pleased to have friendly and sporting contacts with folks in the surrounding areas.

We invite locals and visitors to help us maintain the traditional spirit of Community in this privileged corner of England.

Your contributions to these pages, and your suggestions, are most welcome.
