Coniston Water Festival
| In 2005 after a period of 6 years without it, the Coniston Water Festival was resumed with a committee consisting of: Coniston Sailing Club, Coniston Parish Council, Grizedale Arts, and many local businesses and individuals. Funding was obtained kindly from many local and national sources and the event was largely deemed as a success.. |
| In 2006, the event is to be staged between 3rd and 9th July. |
| Although individual events are still to be confirmed, the following events are proposed to take place: |
| Merry Shepherds Meet (Crown Hotel) |
| Music In The Church (Julie Blaney, plus ladies choir) |
| Folk Night at the Yewdale |
| School/Youth arts night at JRS |
| Duck Race |
| Local cinema - Institute |
| Artists in residence at Coniston Hall (wed-sun) |
| Campbell Cruise on Gondola |
| Music Night - Institute |
| Junior regatta CSC |
| Boat Dressing |
| It's A Knockout |
| Ceilidh |
| Fun Day at CSSC (5-a -side football, soap box derby, tug of war, kids fun time, |
| BBQ and disco). |

| Gondola cruise to Monk Coniston for tour of gardens |
